Vicky is co-Founder and co-Artistic Director of DryWrite (with Phoebe Waller-Bridge), Resident Company at the Bush Theatre from 2010 to 2012. With DryWrite, she has commissioned and directed short plays from some of the country's leading new writing talent, including Joe Penhall, Chloe Moss, Simon Stephens, Terry Johnson, Jack Thorne, Lucy Kirkwood, Ella Hickson, James Graham, Penelope Skinner and Mike Bartlett amongst many others. The company have performed regular shows at theatres including Hampstead Theatre, York Theatre Royal, Liverpool Everyman, Trafalgar Studios and The Roundhouse. She originally commissioned and directed Simon Stephens's monologue T5 at The Roundhouse, since published by Methuen, translated and performed all over Europe. Her premiere production of Jack Thorne's MYDIDAE opened to critical acclaim and sold out its 2012 run at Soho Theatre, subsequently transferring to Trafalgar Studio 2 in the West End in 2013 (5 stars WhatsOnStage, 4 stars Evening Standard, Independent on Sunday, Metro, Sunday Express). Her premiere production of James Graham's THE TOUR GUIDE was a much-acclaimed hit of the 2011 Edinburgh Festival (5 stars Edinburgh Evening News, The List, Scotsman.com; 4 stars The Independent, WhatsOnStage, Scotsman; 'a fascinating production... carries the baton for innovative site-specific theatre' FEST). Vicky trained on the Royal Court/Channel 4 Young Directors scheme, the Gate Theatre Trainee Directors scheme, the National Theatre Studio Directors course and by assisting Katie Mitchell, Terry Johnson, Erica Whyman, Joe Hill-Gibbons and Patrick Marber amongst others. She has directed productions, taught and run workshops for numerous top Drama Schools, including Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and the Oxford School of Drama. As a writer, Vicky's first play, THE ONE, won the 2013 Verity Bargate Award (from over 800 entrants).
