Helen works around Australia as a writer, director and performer. Prior to going freelance in 1995, Helen was Co-Artistic Director of Polyglot Theatre in Melbourne, where she wrote nine plays for the company, including Tadpole, Oddsocks and Snores (which was nominated for an AWGIE  Australian Writers Guild Awards  in 1996), Little Moments and Diggers Mate. Helen has also written for Patch Theatre in Adelaide and Company Skylark in Canberra.

Odd Socks And Snores

Synopsis:
Oddsock's mate has been lost in the wash; nobody wants an oddsock, especially an old oddsock with a hole in its toe. The Storytelling Dragon makes a deal with a mischievous Snore for a 'fly in the sky'. A sneeze blows them to strange magical places: The Land of Colours, The Land of Lines and Shapes and the House of Lost Property. Snore realises that to achieve certain things he must work with others. Oddsock learns to stand on his own one foot and discovers that while it is important to have friends, it is all right to be one of a kind. Sneeze finds love with a smelly sock.
