        Mary Stewart

Mary Stewart

Synopsis:
Mary Queen of Scots was probably a visionary. This production from the award-winning Theatre Alba company presents an illuminating account of her fall from power to eventual ruin. Robert McLellan's powerful piece provides possible motives for her continued distrust in Scotland's Nobility. Directed by Charles Nowosielski, with musical direction by Richard Cherns. Outdoor performance in atmospheric tree lined gardens as darkness falls. First performed in June 1951 in a production for the Festival of Britain by the Glasgow Citizens Theatre. Dress for the weather.
