Dara

Dara
An intense domestic drama of global consequence for India then and for our world now.. 1659. Mughal India. The imperial court, a place of opulence and excess; music, drugs, eunuchs and harems. Two brothers, whose mother's death inspired the Taj Mahal, are heirs to this Muslim empire. Now they fight ferociously for succession. Dara, the crown prince, has the love of the people - and of his emperor father - but younger brother Aurangzeb holds a different vision for India's future. Islam inspires poetry in Dara, puritanical rigour in Aurangzeb. Can Jahanara, their beloved sister, assuage Aurangzeb's resolve to seize the Peacock Throne and purge the empire? There is no limit to what families do to one another, so much crueller than they are to strangers. Tanya Ronder's adaptation of Shahid Nadeem's Dara spans the princes' lives from cradle to grave. An intense domestic drama of global consequence - for India then and for our world now.

His wife Serena has worked hard too, and now dreams of a bigger house, a slimmer body, a happier life. The family appear to be cooking on gas. But behind their perfect front door, light bulbs are blowing, the drains keep blocking, and a phone inexplicably refuses to charge. Not to mention that daughter Rachel's adored toy polar bear is nowhere to be found. Her Right Mind

Synopsis:
To manage her brother's distinctive temperament a woman carefully constructs a routine which balances obsession with escapism in the safety of their London home. When all this is challenged by the arrival of someone new, how grave will the consequences be? Using dynamic staging and evocative movement, this compelling piece of new writing reconsiders the ordinary, and delves into the fragility of human relationships - ultimately asking who depends on who? Collaboratively devised and written by the company, Her Right Mind is as beautiful as it is funny, and as illuminating as it is moving.

Liola

Liola
This high-spirited drama by Pirandello defies expectations. It is not the intellectual whirlwind of his Six Characters in Search of an Author but takes us instead to the heart of a rural community where property and kinship provoke fierce passions. Liola, a young man untroubled by tradition, takes the part of nature all the way. Of course it's wrong to force a well-guarded gate, but a boy who follows an open path, well. . . Written in Sicilian dialect, Liola is rarely played in the English language. Tanya Ronder's new version is performed by an Irish cast and gypsy musicians. It's unexpected, funny and touching. You can't have a full barrel and a drunk wife, you just can't cut it both ways.

Peribanez
A peasant wedding. Just as Peribanez and Casilda become man and wife, the Commander of the region is carried dying to their home. His waking sight of Casilda condemns him to a desparate love. Joy turns to despair and then to revolt in this gripping rediscovery of Lope de Vega's 17th-century classic.

Peter Pan

Synopsis:
Directed by former Almeida associate director Ben Harrison and designed by multi-Olivier winner William Dudley, the production will feature 360 degree projected set using CGI technology. Harrison is a site-specific specialist who has worked extensively with Scottish company Grid Iron whilst Dudley pioneered the use of CGI scenery in Andrew Lloyd Webber's the Woman in White. No one in the audience will be more than a few rows from the stage, which will make the production an intimate theatrical experience in spite of the size of the auditorium. In addition, designated picnic areas will be provided and bar areas selling drinks and snacks will be available on site which will be situated between the Serpentine and West Carriage Drive. the Kensington Gardens setting is appropriate as it is where two of Barrie's novels are set: the Little White Bird (1902), a story for adults, and Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens (1906), one for children. In fact, the latter is part of the former. Kensington Gardens is also the setting for the famous Peter Pan statue.
