Good And True

Synopsis:
Good and True is an ambitious theatre show; a metaphysical epic full of angels and prophets, tempters and devils in disguise. It is set round a table that may once have been in an American cop show. Someone has had a vision. There are interrogators and their consciences. It's about how memory and moralities warp with perspective, so obviously its packed full of gags.

Hoke's Bluff

Synopsis:
Welcome to Hoke's Bluff. the sun always shines, the grass is always watered and green, the roads are wide and the cars seat three in the front. It never rains and all the kids have straight teeth. their parents are firm but loving, and when they get things wrong they admit it, and say they're sorry. Yep, Hoke's Bluff is pretty ordinary. Could be anywhere, really. Just another town. With a whistful yearning for a world that never really existed, Hoke's Bluff uses high school storylines, inspiring locker room speeches and sentimentality to tell an underdog story that's been told a million times before, shifting and re-arranging the trite conventions and narratives of American teen movies to talk about what it means to be a winner on the inside.

Journey Round My Skull, A

Synopsis:
Inspired by the extraordinary medical memoir written by Hungarian satirist Frigyes Karinthy, A Journey Round My Skull is a passionate love story which examines the complexity of the human brain by exploring the perplexing world of auditory hallucinations. Enveloping the audience in a fantastical sound-world, it playfully investigates what makes us who we are and the lengths we might go to in order to cure ourselves of our most painful and embarrassing memories. Darkly comic, A Journey Round My Skull is a tender yet provocative examination of our relationship with our mind, memories and imagination.

Notes:
based on the memoir by Frigyes Karinthy, adapted by Nick Walker and Olivia Winteringham.

Vampomime

Synopsis:
Finding a great Christmas night out that doesn't suck can be a real pain in the neck - but fear not! Vampomime, this year's B2 Xmas Show, comes direct from the pen of acclaimed writer Nick Walker and promises to be a fangtastic Yuletide treat - with added bite! It's not easy putting on a pantomime when you're a theatre company entirely run by vampires. This year's production of Beauty and the Beast is beset by practical problems - they can't enter the stage until they've been invited in and the glare of the lighting is really painful on their eyes. They're also distracted by an uncontrollable bloodlust for virgins, although they don't anticipate that being a big problem with Coventry audiences. Will beauty get driven batty? Will the beast love in vein? Will the audience die laughing? Whatever happens, a monstrously good time is guaranteed for all! As ever, the B2 Xmas Show has been created especially for grown-ups so it's perfect for office parties or anyone who wants to enjoy a Christmas night out away from the kids
