Sandy Wilson (Alexander Galbraith Wilson), composer, lyricist, and playwright, born 19 May 1924; died 27 August 2014. Achieved his greatest success while still in his 20s  and what a success it was. In the 1950s, The Boy Friend ran for more than five years at Wyndham's theatre in London and spent more than a year on Broadway. When it opened in the West End, in January 1954, it was revolutionary, a totally new and different kind of musical.

Divorce Me, Darling
Ten years after the events of "the Boyfriend". Dulcie, Fay and Nancy arrive at the Hotel du Paradis in Nice. they have left their French husbands telling them that they are going to holiday in London - but plan a spree in Nice. Hortense is now the receptionist at the hotel she tells them that a mysterious cabaret star will be performing that night - Madame K. Polly arrives - she has left Tony working on the estate in England. She meets Bobby and they plan to have dinner. Madame K arrives and confides to Hortense that she is in fact Mme Dubonnet - she had secretly married Polly's Father but he fled to South America after the stock market crash - and as she is short of money she has become a cabaret singer. Alphonse, Pierre and Marcel arrive. With their wives in London they have also come on a spree to Nice. Next to arrive is the president of the South American country of Monomania with his assistant Percy. Percy is really Polly's Father in disguise. the president who looks a lot like Percy instructs him to change clothes and pretend to be the president whilst he goes on a spree too
