Paul Hoan Zeidler graduated from the University of Southern California Professional Writing Program where he studied with Hubert Selby, Jr. (Last Exit to Brooklyn), John Rechy (City of Night), Paul Zindel (The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds), and Jerome Lawrence (Inherit the Wind) who taught him the Eleventh Commandment: Thou shalt not commit television on a theater stage. It's something he's taken to heart ever since. Paul directed his full-length play, Time's Scream and Hurry, in two Los Angeles productions before taking it to the 2009 New York International Fringe Festival for a successful run at the Cherry Lane Theatre. His play NudeNaked was a Eugene O'Neill National Playwrights Conference Semi-Finalist and was honored by the Stanley Drama Awards in 2011. He's currently working on two new full-lengths: Feel Our Echo and The Moon is a Stone That Went Insane. Paul wrote, directed and sound designed three recent shows in the Hollywood Fringe: Acts of Possession (2011), Glennie & Maple Break Up (2012) and, in 2014, WOOF-WOOF, which won the Encore! Producers Award. WOOF-WOOF is currently raising funds for a New York production and will soon be available for pay-per-view online streaming. Other L.A. stagings of his plays include: The Enchanter Disappears with the Jerome Lawrence Quintet, and Your Mind Breathes Water with the Elephant Theatre Company. Paul's most recent independent screenplay is Blue in Black. He is also the founder and Artistic Director of Lightning Rod Theater (formerly Sewer Socialist Productions)
