Robert was born and brought up in edison, New Jersey. He took up acting at high school and won awards in competitions run by the New Jersey International thespian Society. For five years he was a video-jockey on the New York cable station ITV. He has performed in many plays including: "a Quiet end" and "Alice in Wonderland". He won the Mr. India title at the 1996 New York Pageant.
