Hovering

Synopsis:
Are there really Pearly Gates? Are there really bright lights and tunnels? Will St. Peter really be standing there with his questionnaire? Whatever happened to Lord Lucan? Are dentists and surveyors really responsible for all thats wrong with the world? Why cant we have a brothel for ladies? These are just some of the thoughts racing through the mind of the man in Ron Aldridges comedy as he waits in hospital for news of his wife who lies in a coma hovering between life and death. This highly entertaining play effectively combines two theatrical extremes. A strong dramatic and emotional storyline interspersed with stand-up comedy routines.

It's Never Too Late

It's Never Too Late
the Village Hall committee are seated around a table in the living room of Susan Shaw's Victorian house, but business is suspended while they listen with concern to Susan's telephone conversation - and she's very angry. Her husband, after 37 years of marriage, has left her for a younger model and now wants a divorce. after a life as homemaker and bringing up their children things will have to change. What will she do now? It's never too late to change your life, and her friends on the committee, anxious to help, each offer advice - learn to be selfish, don't change at all, get a toy-boy, be the pigeon not the statue - and she manages to achieve almost every one, although the toy-boy offer is quite a surprise.

My Dog's Got No Nose

My Dog's Got No Nose
My Dog's Got No Nose takes us on a journey through the events surrounding a stand-up comedian's first ever performance. Before picking up his microphone and venturing into the limelight, he regales stories and tales about his life and experiences. Sometimes funny, sometimes sad, sometimes poignant and often laugh-out-loud hilarious, he shares his soul reminiscing about his early career as a furniture-salesman-turned-photographer, love, marriage, and ambitions. His debut is the fulfilment of a lifelong dream where stand-up comedy, unrequited love, animal lovers, facts of life, sibling rivalries and mercy killing are just some of the elements covered in this very funny and bittersweet story, as we discover that both the man and the performance are not quite what they seem.

That's Love

That's Love
are there really such things as "soul-mates"? are certain people destined to be together? the Frank Daniel's Trio were a reasonably successful singing and dancing variety trio in the 1970s. Frank, his beautiful wife Sarah and comic Tony are the perfect recipe for an evening's entertainment . . .. . . and for an entangled emotional love triangle! We join the disbanded trio three decades later in a nursing home where Tony is terminally ill. Sarah - who married Frank despite being in love with Tony - has spent much of her life ruing her choices and in a series of flashbacks to the "good old days", we see them as their younger selves performing the song and dance routines punctuating the emotional rivalries of the trio. Over the course of visits to Tony this entertaining - and sometimes very moving - play sees Sarah finally reaching the decision she should have taken years ago . . .
