allegro takes place at the opening of an exclusive art exhibit and scrutinizes the superficiality of public interaction. It's the third in a four-part series called the Human Variations, a four-part Dramatic symphony that explores moments when human beings are right next to each other and still deeply alone. executed using an original theatrical convention,"theality," which juxtaposes expressive movement with hyper-realistic, docu-theater techniques, each part of the serial explores these moments in a site-specific setting.

Scherzo

Synopsis:
Three women. Two men. Coffee. Dancing. Collisions ensue. Scherzo uncovers those moments when human beings are right next to each other and still deeply alone. Conceived as an ensemble piece, borrowing docu-theatre techniques, Scherzo is theality, a brand of theatre all its own. Like a mixed-media canvas, theality blends truthful, "real" characters, their deeply personal, psychological and emotional lives with theatrical moments of scripted subtext. In theality, Dramatically speaking, the line between naturalism and expressionism is blurred. the potential for catharsis is extraordinary. the location is site-specific and the event will take place in the audience's environment. It is not interactive theatre.
