        Bram and the Guvnor

Bram and the Guvnor

London, 1897: Ellen Terry and Henry Irving, the greatest Shakespearian actors of their age, working with their Business Manager, Bram Stoker, fill the Lyceum Theatre every night. But, unbeknown to them, Bram is also writing a strange new book: Dracula. On the day the novel is published the imaginary Count enters their lives to stir up conflict and passion and threaten their very friendship.

Playwright Jefny Ashcrofts Bram and the Guvnor is a free, professional play written using archive materials from the RSC collections held by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust. Before and after the show audiences will be given a unique opportunity to view an accompanying exhibition of the archive materials that inspired it.
