Dan Bain is a professional comedian, actor, improviser, writer and circus artist. He has been a full time entertainer since 2002 when he graduated after two years at the New Zealand circus training school Circoarts. Since then he has been employed by the Court Jesters, the most successful professional improvisational Theatre troupe in New Zealand. Here he has regularly performed in or MC-ed SCaReD SCRIPTLeSS, the country's longest running comedy show. also he has been heavily involved in improvisational comedy shows and events for a wide number of corporate clients, regularly devising themes, characters and acts specific to their events and needs. His work here has exposed him to a wide range of audiences, from High School students to the Prime Minister of New Zealand. He has also worked as an improvisor for Conartists (auckland) and the Improvisors (Wellington). He is also the Creative Dictator of his own theatrical and multimedia production company NOOSeD OCTOPUS. Under this umbrElla he has toured the world as a professional street entertainer performing in New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, America and three separate tours of CanadA. He has performed at such prestigious events as the HaLIFaX BUSKeRS FeSTIVaL, the SINGaPORe RIVeR BUSKeRS FeSTIVaL and the eDMONTON FRINGe FeSTIVaL to name but a few. He speaks to over 10 000 first year university students per year through New Zealand and the UK as a motivational speaker with the IDeaS aGeNCY and their UNISMaRT programme. His writing credits include STaG WeeKeND (with Brendon Bennetts), the CHRISTCHURCH GHOST WaLK (with Javier Jarquin) and KIWIaNa for Chante danse. also the silent kids shows a PaINTBOX OF CLOWNS, WHY aRe MY PaReNTS SO BORING? and an adaptation of HaNSeL aND GReTeL as well as GaMePLaN for Young and Hungry Wellington and DRONeS and FORBIDDeN BIRDS eMBaRRaSSeD BeeS for Radio NZ. His professional directing credits include a PaINTBOX OF CLOWNS (at Court and Fortune Theatres), HaNSeL aND GReTeL, the aDVeNTUReS OF CaPTaIN COOK and (upcoming) RaPUNZeL for the Christchurch Court Theatre. Finally since 2002 he has been performing as a standup comedian and MC in universities, festivals, burlesque shows, casinos, and comedy clubs through New Zealand with his unique blend of circus skills, flights of bizarre imagination, cheerful nihilism and quick wit including SHaRP and ORPHaNS OF COMeDY for the NZ Comedy Festival.

Gameplan
Synopsis:
Dylan and his friends are broke and good at one thing - video games. they need 10 grand and fast, but there aren't any end level bosses guarding treasure in real life. . .. Or are there? What happens when a team of nerds and social rejects try to take their on-screen skills into real life? Can video games train you to be awesome? To take control of your destiny? Or to at least be able to talk to girls? Gameplan is for anyone who's been broke, picked up a controller or been caught in suspicious circumstances with their flat mates undies. Director Melanie Camp says, Gameplan is a ghost train ride through your living room and into your Xbox and then back through your living room again and then there's a big monster at the end that makes you wet your pants (almost).

Gingerbread Man, The
Synopsis:
In Bain and Nixon's version, the audience help a hapless chef (Trevella) figure out the recipe to create the gingerbread man before the freshly-baked biscuit (Allan) decides he doesn't want to be a snack and goes on the run from a variety of pursuers (played by TrevElla and Burns).

Hansel & Gretel
