Synopsis:
Set in 1968, Bonfire Night centers around the lives of Cynthia and Lorna Johnson, Jamaican immigrants to Birmingham, England. Cynthia, a fading beauty, and Lorna, her 30-something daughter, have settled into a hopeless yet comfortable routine living life together in their old house. But a fateful evening set against the backdrop of November 5th Guy Fawkes Day-Bonfire Night, makes the flames no match for the inferno that will consume Cynthia if Lorna, makes the leap to the happy life she desperately craves with her secret suitor, Reggie.
