Liberty
Based on actual historical events presented in Ray Barron-Woolford's new book, The Last Queen of Scotland, this play tells the story of the extraordinary Kath Duncan, a Scottish left-wing activist and primary school teacher in Deptford, London, who, after the arrest and jailing of two gay friends, took on the power of King, parliament, and the entire legal establishment to lay the groundwork for the National Council of Civil Liberties and the legal freedoms we possess today.
