In addition he has appeared in many TV commercials. Among Mr. Barry's many theatrical credits are "And Fat Freddy's Blues" which was the recipient of the HBO Award at the National Playwright's Conference of the O'Neill Theatre Center, and later selected for the Shelykova Festival of New Plays and performed in Russia; "Heritage" a play about the women in Lincoln's life; and several plays produced by the York Theatre Company in New York that he also directed. these include "After the Dancing in Jericho," "A Distance From Calcutta," and "Down by the Ocean." Several of his plays were mounted at the Hudson Guild Theatre in New York where he was artistic director and staged over 40 productions. As an actor he has performed in regional Theater along the east Coast, and on television most recently in "As the World Turns, and "Law and Order." Born and raised in Coventry, R.I., Mr. Barry started his career in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. He subsequently served in Korea during the war, entertaining the troops in variety shows. While attending the University of California, Berkeley, he married Dolores DuBois and they had three children, Matt, Neill and Nina, all living today in California and in show business. Mr. Barry later divorced and remains very close with all his family.

Sandra and Colleen are preoccupied with their romantic problems; Marta, recently promoted to Regional Circulation assistant, is (at Norman's bidding) taking the "Chink" and the "dwarf" in the printing department to task about some misprinted brochures; while John, an actor and office temp, is impatiently awaiting the call from his agent which could be his ticket to a better life.
