Irv Bauer also known as Irvin S. Bauer was an American playwright, screenwriter, educator and theatre critic based in New York. Plays include a Dream Out of Time produced at Manhattan's Promenade Theatre and a Fine and Private Place at Seattle's Showboat Theatre and Rollin' On the TOBA on Broadway. His screenplays include the elephant is Well, Captain of Paradise, His Lordship and High Octane. He was also Senior Story Consultant on Courage the Cowardly Dog on Cartoon Network. Master screenwriter Irv Bauer has taught screenwriting and playwriting at New York University, Sarah Lawrence College, the University of Washington and the Australian National Film School, as well as master classes at Cornell. He died of lymphoma on July 24, 2015
