Mark Bazzone. a recipient of the John C. Lippmann "New Frontier" Travel award, Mark Bazzone used the grANT to drive 17,000 kilometers around Australia to meet with aborigines and educate himself about their contemporary life. He has also received a 1998 New York Foundation for the Arts Playwriting Fellowship, a Van Nostrand Playwright Commission, a Key West Writer's Retreat residency, and three-time finalist honors for the Princess Grace award. His work has been seen at the Australian National Playwrights' Conference, the New York International Fringe Festival, the Adelaide International Theater Festival, as well as in Los Angeles, Seattle, and Cleveland. Mr. Bazzone has participated in the Nautilus Music Theater Studio and the Raw Impressions Music Theater Studio, and is a member playwright of New Dramatists. He operated as a script doctor for independent films, scrambled as a staff writer for CD-ROM interactive video, and has been a script analyst in Hollywood. excerpts from his novel POd were published in theNew York Waste, and received a public reading at the Lake Placid Institute. Mr. Bazzone has directed theatrical productions, digital video, and film. theatrically, he directed a production of eastwest in the 2003 International Theater Festival. He was a director in the 2002 Raw Impressions Film Studio, which was simultaneously screened at the New York Film archives and in La at StElla adler Theater. In the 1991 New York University Film Festival, Mr. Bazzone wrote and directed Steel Mistress, which received awards for Directing excellence and Filmmaking Honorable Mention. He was an interviewer and a cameraman for allison ander's Joni Mitchell documentary Circle Game. He has freelanced as a recording engineer and location lighting designer for Disney, entertainment Tonight, BeT, and the U.S. Government, and on studio sessions with Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, and Billy Preston.

Synopsis:
Our brave battalions have been beckoned to arms. Gathering into forces and fortifying garrisons, the soldiers prepare to parlay with the enemy. Singing farewells to love and country, the fighting factions hunker down in bunkers deep in the bowels of the battlefield. each strategizes schematically, releasing weapons of warfare to maintain power over the domain. Deteriorating from damage and suffering from supply shortages, the fighting intensifies. Ideals die in the name of survival, all to ensure victory.
