Benjamin Bettenbender is the author of eight full-length plays and several one-acts. He has had many productions around the country and abroad, including in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London, and Wellington, New Zealand. Mr. Bettenbender was a longtime member of the Circle Rep Playwrights Lab, and is currently a member of the Cape Cod Theater Project. He is a graduate of the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University and lives in New Jersey with his wife, Felice, and their two daughters.

Synopsis:
Jo-Lynne's husband has bee killed by her neighbour Curtis. The Grand Jury do not indict him - so she takes matters into her own hands. She persuades gas station attendant Chick to kill him. Chick gets into Curtis' home and asks him if there is any reason he should not be killed

Synopsis:
a man lands on a woman after trying to throw himself off a bridge in a botched suicide attempt. On the quiet riverbank, as he attends to her minor injury, he learns that she too was planning to end her life over a broken heart. an argument ensues over the relative seriousness of their respective losses, the nature of existence, and the harmful effects of the essays of biologist Stephen Jay Gould.
