Albion Forlorn
Albion Forlorn
Synopsis:
This torch song for the state were in satirically charts the progress of a young boy as he encounters the fractured dreams, disillusionment and twisted mores of a disjointed 21st century Britain. Driving the narrative, Sue Cassons powerful melodies skewer the follies and lost ideals of a society more broken than our politicians understand. Conceived and directed by Tom Blackmore, Albion Forlorn is a scorching yet tender rhapsody on a disconnected present and an uncertain future. 'There is an Englishness to the music of Casson, not a Britishness. Traditional in the truest sense - folk songs that are timeless'
