Michael Blevins (Playwright, Lyricist, Composer, Bookwriter; actor) attended the University of North Carolina and New York University majoring in Theatre and dance. His Broadway appearances include Bring Back Birdie with Donald O'Connor and Chita Rivera, Neil Simon's Little Me and the Tap Dance Kid in which he created the role of "Winslow". He has been seen in numerous TV commercials and network television specials, including the Tony award Show. He appeared in Woody Allen's Zelig, Sir Richard Attenborough's film Chaplin with Robert Downey, Jr and Diane Lane yet he is most widely well-known for for his portrayal of Mark in the film a Chorus Line co-starring Michael Douglas. In addition to Count to Ten, he was commissioned to write the book, music, and lyrics for the Carol, a musical adaptation of the Dicken's Christmas classic that enjoyed a long, successful run at JCCT, the oldest continuing community Theatre in the State of Tennessee. Mr Blevins is also co-author of the Group Theatre Too's highly successful social awareness Drama aftermath. Mr Blevins is a member of the Dramatists Guild and is represented by entertainment lawyer, Donald C. Farber, esq.

Aftermath
Synopsis:
the respect-your-body one-act play for young people. the fact is teenagers can make wise choices about drug and alcohol USAge, dieting, sexual promiscuity, and other issues pertaining to respect for one's body. But what choices are they making? and why are they making them? "aftermath", sheds light on the lives of 7 young people as they face daily choices about substance abuse, promiscuity, diet, other social issues and the inevitable consequences of the choices they make. Knowledge is power - arm you students with the power of positive choices. "aftermath" shows young people the awesome power in every choice they make.

a tap-dancing writer's Broadway ambitions are thwarted because his new musical lacks a real love story.
