Alessio Bordoni is an Italian born American actor who was trained under Zygmunt Molik (Grotowski's lead actor) in Germany, at The American Mime Theater and at HB Studio. His stage debut was in 2001 in Rome, Italy, where he performed a one-man-show on Gargantua and Pantagruel by Rabelais, which he adapted and directed. He then performed in numerous theatre productions throughout Europe, as well as worked on TV, film and voice-over projects. Bordoni developed many characters, among them were Marquis Des Arcis in the Italian production of Jacques the Fatalist by Diderot directed by Paolo Poli which ran 400 performances; Schlome in If This is a Man by Primo Levi directed by Marco Mattolini; and he played the lead in a critically acclaimed production of The Demons by Dostoevsky staged by Iranian director Shahroo Kheradmand. Bordoni recited Dante Alighieri's poems at NYU and BMCC College. His most recent role was that of Dante in Dante's Divina Commedia - Inferno, directed by Rene Migliaccio and performed at the HERE Arts Center and at the Prague Fringe Festival for which he received rave reviews
