Synopsis:
Set in Mertyr Tydfil 1831.poverty is rife, the debtors court busy confiscating goods from the destitute. There is struggle for reform, miners parading, stoning tories houses. violence ensues, the crowds raiding houses and restoring the confiscated goods to their rightful owners, finally destrying the debtors court itself by burning it. soldiers were sent in, hand to hand struggle, soldiers open fire. However the military were defeated by the rioters
