a professional Theatre artist for forty years, Pamela is a playwright, performer and teacher. an award-winning playwright, she's best known for her realistic plays, Inside Out, originally produced by Tarragon Theatre in Toronto (NeWest Press, NeWest Plays by Women, 1987) and Odd Fish, first produced for aTP PlayRites 92 (Red Deer College Press, 1994). Her most recent play, I Love Mondays, won the aPN Write too Win workshop contest in 2003 and was produced by Ghost River Productions in Calgary in June 04. She also works in more exploratory, multi-disciplinary forms, combining modern dance, music and poetry as well as straight Dramatic text. Some of those pieces include Dog's Diary, seen in western Canada festivals and fringes in 1995, and the dance based multi-disciplinary piece Screaming Fish, by Nicole Mion. Pamela is the artistic Director of MOMO DaNCe Theatre, an initiative in partnering professional artists with artists with disability in mixed ability dance/Theatre work.

Odd Fish
Synopsis:
In 1971 Jana Pavlova and Mirek Sling were prominent Czech artists and very much in love. In a bid to escape the politics of their country, they planned to flee for Canada and a new life. But something went terribly wrong. Though Jana made it, Mirek was arrested. Now, twenty years later, Jana must confront her past. Having long ago renounced her art and life in the former Czechoslovakia, Jana lives comfortably with her Canadian husband and two children, running a fishing marina. and she has until now, been successfully hiding her past from everyone - even her family. But how can she contune this when her past walks right up to the door of her marina wanting to come in? Mirek Sling's unexpected appearance throws everyone into crisis. and as Jana's past and present collide, she is forced into a high-stakes game that will change her life forever.
