Cindy Wolfe Boynton is an award-winning journalist, playwright and writing instructor who has been writing for selective publications like The New York Times, and teaching at schools like Yale, for more than two decades. Her one-act, one-woman show Right Time to Say I Love You made its world premiere in New York City, Off Broadway, at the 2011 United Solo Theatre Festival and is currently in production, being performed at festivals and locations throughout the United States. Right Time to Say I Love You received an 80th Annual Writers Digest Writing Competition award in the Stage Play category and was selected as one of just 10 plays to be included in a collection celebrating the best of the 2011 United Solo Theatre Fest. Right Time to Say I Love You was inspired by a number of occurrences, not the least of which was Cindy's decision to make her midlife a time of creation, rather than one of confused destruction. She also wanted to shine a spotlight on the emotional and physical struggles of being a part of today's "Sandwich Generation"-the 20 million Americans who, like her, are sandwiched between taking care of young children and elderly parents. A freelance writer, Cindy is also host of the Literary New England Radio Show that airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. on BlogTalk Radio. She is currently working on a second play, as well as several other writing projects.
