Laura Bridgeman's radio play CATeRPILLARS co-written with Charles Lambert has been recorded in Glasgow by BBC Radio Scotland and will be broadcast at 2.15pm on July 9th 2012. Laura trained as an actor at e.15 Acting School before she started writing. She has an MA in Creative Writing from UeA where she was awarded the HSC Scholarship. Laura is under commission from Strangebird Zirkus for the play ORNITHOLOGY, directed by Ben Harrison from Grid Iron. Her play commissions include: MAISON SPLeNDIDe (London New Play's Festival, Young Vic, 1996), JUNK (Gay Sweatshop, the Almeida, 1997), MeDICINe GIRL (Guinness Ingenuity Award, etcetera Theatre,1997), ID 1000 (the National Youth Theatre G.B., 2007). Her Theatre funding includes:LOONATIK (the London Arts Board, 1997), .45 (the Arts Council of england, 2002), theRe IS NO WORD FOR IT, the Trans Mangina Monologues (the Arts Council of england, the Soho Theatre, 2009). She has also written for BBC Radio 4, eTIQUeTTe (2000). Laura's press hotpencil is finalist in the literary section of the erotic Awards 2012, for there Is No Word For It. Two of her short stories have been published: the MUSTARDSeeD SeDUCTION, Contains Small Parts (2003), GReGORY, Brand magazine, (2009). Laura is also working on a novel; RAPHAeL COOMBS, short-listed for the Charles Pick Fellowship 2007.

Witchhunt
Synopsis:
Somewhere in england, a couple of free-thinking inquisitors, ezeel and Bubb, are gently converting black witches onto the path of whiteness. Into their easy-going midst a fanatical Inquisitor Dr Fruit arrives, complete with black breeches and gruelling instruments of torture.
