Graeme Of Thrones

Synopsis:
Graeme takes you on his own unique journey through the Seven Kingdoms. Unhappy with how his beloved books were realised for the TV series, he has taken it upon himself to show you how it should have been done. He doesn't quite have the same budget, or as many cast members, or the performance skill required, but he's sure George would approve - and that's what matters. Featuring a family tree wider than The Wall and more subplots than anyone can follow, it's a rollercoaster ride of beheadings, incest and war. Fun for all the family. Created by a team of some of the UK's top comedy writers, Graeme Of Thrones is an original and un-authorised take on the international phenomenon that is Game Of Thrones. See it before the inevitable lawsuit.

Margaret Thatcher, Queen Of Soho

Margaret Thatcher, Queen Of Soho
Look at us, Margaret - the press is on our side. We're heroes: the public is behind us, we're protecting our children, the party is united behind the cause. You can stand against it if you want, but you will stand alone. Margaret Thatcher, Britain's first female Prime Minister, gets lost around the streets of Soho on the eve of the vote for Section 28. Unwittingly, she finds herself quickly becoming a cabaret sensation within London's gay community. This camp political drag cabaret explores, through songs and laughter, homophobia and censorship, and how one person could have made a difference.

Notes:
written by Jon Brittain and Matthew Tedford. part of A Festival of Plays Inspired by Margaret Thatcher. In response to the national conversation surrounding Thatcher's death, theatre503 has invited a broad spectrum of writers to write a series of short plays looking back at Margaret Thatcher - the woman, the politics and her legacy.

This Year Will Be Different

Synopsis:
a brand shiny new year! Will your dreams come true? Will your goals be met? Or will you be hiding under the duvet? Whatever 2012 may bring, start it off right by heading to theatre503 for our first-week-of-the-year extravaganza. This is new writing with a difference - we've paired playwrights with video artists, animators and illustrators and asked them to create short pieces of theatre that focus on visual storytelling. Based on texts, tweets and photos from members of the public, the resulting show explores just what our annual New Year rituals reveal - and what lies behind all those smiling Facebook pictures. . .

What Would Spock Do?

Synopsis:
Gary Thompson grew up as a huge Star Trek fan, but now his friends just think of him as 'one of the lads'. All this is set to change when a new colleague appears at work, and is an unashamed Star Trek fanatic. Should he confess his now-secret love of all things Enterprise, and risk becoming a social outcast once again? At times like these, there is only one question for Gary to ask himself: what would Spock do?

Notes:
An uplifting new comedy about love, Star Trek, and learning to accept who you are - no matter how much of a loser it makes you. This new show comes to the stage in the same year as the world paid tribute to the career and life of Leonard Nimoy, who died in March 2015.
