Harold Brooke was born in London on September 14th 1910. His older sister being the actress ann Todd. He was educated at Marlborough and Clare College Cambridge. He served during the Second World War. after the War he met actress Kay Bannerman and they were married in 1946. they began writing comedies together their greatest success being "Let Sleeping Wives Lie". Kay Bannerman died in 1991.
