Mummy Mafia
Mummy Mafia
Synopsis:
Mummy Mafia brings us the luxurious lives of yummy mummies, Jessica and Trisha, who spend their time fawning over their latest 4x4s, gloating over their husbands incomes and obsessing over whichever parenting scheme they are piloting in the private school playground of St Helens. However, it all changes with the arrival of working class Siobhan and her wayward son Cregg. In a bid to drive the riff-raff out of their wealthy Nottingham suburb for good the Mummy Mafia is born. Mummy Mafia is a dark comedy that explores class politics, racial identity and the expectations and pressures on women today through the lives of three women fighting a playground war in which their pride isnt the only casualty.
