Amelia Bradshaw Turns Eight
Synopsis:
Set around Amelia Bradshaws eighth birthday party, the play uses nursery rhymes as a structural device to explore characters and tell its story. Like any birthday party on the surface the play appears to be fun, lively and energetic. Yet lurking beneath the familiar delight are stories that are confronting and sobering. In both the childrens and adults worlds there are bullies and victims, tragedies and triumphs, stories of humour and those of pathos. Through its patchwork use of monologues, party games, dramatic and comic vignettes, a play-within-a-play, and its narrator-clown the play reveals the events of a single afternoon and in doing so creates a funny, poignant picture of modern life. It is a picture that, at its heart, tells the story of Amelia Bradshaw who is turning more than just eight. Much more.

And Sow, To Reap
Synopsis:
And Sow, to Reap is a one-act play based upon five of Aesops fables: the boy who cried wolf, the young man and the swallow, the honest woodsman, the blind woman and the doctor, and the goose that laid the golden egg. Woven from these five discrete stories, the play is a multilayered yet singular tale of causes and consequences, re-telling familiar stories in poetic and surprising ways, set in that iconic elemental location: the village. Relying on actors to create characters, setting, and sound effects using only poles for props and locations the play is both minimalist in its staging and versatile in its style. It is suitable for casts of varying sizes and varying gender composition.

Between These Lines
Synopsis:
A funny, moving and realistic human drama, between these lines follows the stories of a range of characters as their lives intersect with both humorous and far-reaching consequences, proving that the simplest actions can have the greatest impact. The play is constructed of ten interrelated stories that form one story: just as all of our lives are entwined in one larger drama. While each scene draws upon the Realist tradition of exploring everyday situations, ordinary motivations and common interactions, it is structured in a more overtly theatrical fashion, creating a dynamic and thought-provoking puzzle.

Charm
Synopsis:
The end of the fairytale has only just begun when Cinderella returns home after discovering that Prince Charming is married to numerous women (including Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and Goldilocks) and is, in fact, a two-timer. With the aid of a world-weary Fairy Godmother, the women set out to unmask the Prince's charming ways and have their revenge. However things don't quite turn out happily ever after when the Prince accidentally enters the 'real world' after drinking a charm. There, he encounters a routine-weary housewife and her somewhat dysfunctional family. The subsequent mix of 'worlds' and theatrical styles, provides a comedy of manners and also an opportunity to explore aspects of romantic and familial love, fantasy and the deceptive nature of charm. In this way the play twists the apparently familiar into the unexpected&and re-tells stories we thought we knew!
