Born in Coleraine, Brian Campbell moved with his family to Newry in 1968. He graduated from Liverpool University in 1981. arrested in 1986, he was sentenced to fifteen years for possession of explosives. In Long Kesh he studied for a second degree in Social Sciences and was the founding editor of 'an Glor Gafa' (the Captive Voice), a magazine of prisoners' writings. He is a former editor of 'an Phoblacht' and news editor of 'Daily Ireland'. a walker, former footballer and hurler, he collapsed and died after a taking a run on October 8th 2005.

Synopsis:
a former RUC officer and his wife discover that the man working in their kitchen is an IRa ex-prisoner who killed a policeman. a Cold House addresses difficulties in the Northern Ireland peace process and asks what truths must be faced if people are to move forward in a society riven with conflict.

Synopsis:
Des tells the story of the West Belfast priest, Des Wilson. In 1966, Wilson was removed from his teaching post at St Malachy's College and sent to St John's on the Falls Road. as a junior curate with responsibility for Whiterock-Ballymurphy, one of the most deprived areas in Western europe, he fought the church establishment in support of its people.

Laughter Of Our Children, The
Synopsis:
In a small village in the North of Ireland in 1981, Mary and George try to come to terms with their son Peadar's decision to volunteer for the hunger strike. the local school teacher decides to take a lead role in organising a local campaign. Two old school friends of Peadar, now at Queen's University, must try to come to terms with where they stand. Myles, the Gaa coach, wants to keep his head down and ignore the situation and Father Boyle, the local priest, struggles to control his parishioners.
