George Eliot's tragic and romantic story of morality versus desire is brought to life by Composer Thomas Sutcliffe. He explores Eliot's work through a fusion of Musical Theatre and Folk traditions. As Maggie Tulliver's family fortune declines, she struggles to remain dutiful but forever yearning to be wild and free. Maggie is desperate to do right by her beloved brother Tom, but her heart leads her down a path of temptation. Will the rift between brother and sister ever be reconciled?
Adapted from the novel "The Mill On The Floss" (1860). Thomas Sutcliffe - Book, Music and Lyrics; Lydia Grant - Additional Music and Lyrics; Daniel Cane - Director and Dramaturge.
