As the Mother Of A Brown Boy
Synopsis:
On 6 October2005, MischaNiering took part in a botched ram-raid of Tiffany in Sloane Square in west London. Fleeing the scene on a scooter, he became caught up in a high-speed police chase and was killed. the police were later found guilty of taking insufficient safety measures during the pursuit. Niering was 19 years old. Now, Mischa's friends at the Chickenshed company (where he was once a student) have devised an hour-long show to commemorate his life and death. as its title suggests, this is a highly subjective account based on reallife conversations with Mischa's mother, Karen. Her words form the emotional heart of the play, which pits them against the harsh voice of authority: "He robbed a shop. He died. What's your problem?"

Twelve Days of Christmas, The
Synopsis:
A magical and thrilling festive adventure! Brilliantly re-inventing the traditional and well-loved song, The Twelve Days of Christmas will be a rollicking, magical Christmas adventure with lots of laughs along the way! Four brave children flee their mean step-family to follow a mysterious Partridge on a quest for five gold rings. Aided and abetted by Three French Hens, they encounter a dazzling array of larger than life characters including a gaggle of paranoid Geese and some particularly pompous Lords, and are pursued by Four Calling Birds who are also in search of the rings. Just why do the Two Turtle Doves guard the rings so carefully, and will the children find them and so unlock the secrets to their family? Featuring Chickenshed's famously large and amazingly diverse cast, and chock-full of fun, music and dance, The Twelve Days of Christmas is one of our most popular and imaginative Christmas shows ever - and the perfect festive production for everyone aged 5 and up!
