Beyond the Blue Horizon
Synopsis:
the future. George tries to escape the polluted world he lives in by jumping off a cliff. He washes up on a distant shore and is appalled to see so many people sun bathing. the sun bathers don't seem to realise their bodies are burning and becoming deformed. George walks off into the desert but he succumbs to heat and thirst. He is rescued by a young woman Messinah. Recovered he leaves her but is caught up in a tremendous sand storm - only to be rescued by Messinah again. Many years later their son finds a piece of carpet in the sand. George recognises it as coming from his home

London International Mime Festival. The first Festival took place at The Cockpit Theatre and Arts Centre, London NW8, in January 1977. In that year the event was called The Cockpit Festival of Mime and Visual Theatre. It is now the longest running festival of its kind in the world. With the exceptions of 1983 and 1986, the Festival has taken place each year, featuring, in addition to workshops, films, debates and special events, performances by the following artists and companies.
