Naveen Bahar Choudhury is a playwright and fiction writer whose work has been produced in Theaters and festivals in New York City and around the country. Her plays have been produced, presented, and/or developed by ensemble Studio Theatre, the New Federal Theatre, Desipina & Co., at Second Stage Theater, and at the Lark Play Development Center. She was a finalist for the Public Theater's 2008 Time Warner emerging Writers Group. an active participant in the South Asian American Theatre community, she is a member of SaLaaM Theatre and an alumna member of Desipina & Co. In 2006, she co-founded Desipina CoLab, Desipina's script development wing, and was Co-artistic Director of CoLab for its first two years. In 2004, she received her MFA in playwriting from the actors Studio Drama School, where she was a Dramatic Arts Scholar. Ms. Choudhury is a member of the Dramatists Guild.
