        People Watching

People Watching

Synopsis:
Watched by the odd couple on the hill, a group of young adult writers gets together for a meeting on Australia Day in the park. They have been given an arts grant to produce something 'meaningful' in the form of a monthly newsletter, and old rivalries emerge as they discuss asylum seekers, the media, birth control and why you always find Harrison Ford on your fantail wrapper. Narrated by the two curious onlookers, who take bets on the outcome and hurry things along, People Watching is an engaging play about national identity, politics, sex, the media and having fun in the park with your mates. People Watching won second prize in the 2004 International Student Playscript Competition.
