Synopsis:
Set in the industrial port city of New York, director Casey Cleverly has modernized the text to focus on modern human trafficking. Ten immigrant women are held hostage against their will, waiting, while the once royal Hecuba clings to hope as her remaining children are dragged away. Mixing live drama, news clips, projections, dance, and an original music score by Kaze Patricio Chan, Trojan Women Redux turns the ancient play into a modern day tragedy exploring the all too real plights of women across the globe.
