Choreography of an Argument Round a Table
Synopsis:
6 people and a piano create a surprising and riotous choreographed physical performance investigating what it is to be in an argument and how we win and lose while our trousers are down. Dealing with confrontation and power struggles in an absurdist situation, the setting could be a pub, UN Security Council or a family dinner party. Performers appropriate provocative actions, interactions and statements as they negotiate within a tight, rhythmical and layered structure of language and movement. Images offer insights on the absurdities of political stances, power, manipulation and confrontation as well as looking at the pure energetic qualities of emotional relationships and attachments to self and belief.
