Synopsis: | In this personal favorite of the French master, a young man bursts to tell his parents that he has met the love of his life and intends to marry her. His mother is devastated by the news, while his father harbors a secret about the new girlfriend that could destroy them all. Torn between love and resentment for an undeserving family she supports, the sage and spinster aunt attempts to create some order out of this mess. This crackling farce satirizes the pretensions of bourgeois bohemians and a mother who dotes on her son, perhaps, a bit too much.

Orpheus is the most famous poet in Paris. He needs new inspiration so he leaves Paris with his wife Eurydice for the country. A talking horse follows him home and soon Orpheus is taking dictation from the horse and lavishing all his attention on the horse. Eurydice is not best pleased - she thinks the horse's poetical communications are bogus. To vent her anger she smashes the windows in the house. Every day Heuertibise and angelic glazier comes over and replaces the windows. Eurydice dies and Orpheus goes to the Underworld to plead for her. He is allowed to take her back but if he looks at her she will disappear. He looks at her - she disappears. A Dionysian cult turn up and rip Orpheus to pieces
