Since graduating from Guildhall School of Music and Drama in July 2012, Michaela has written and performed in the sell-out play Chewing Gum Dreams (the Yard / Bush Theatre) which earned her the Alfred Fagon Award for Best Black Playwright and a special performance on the Cottesloe Stage of the National Theatre in November 2012. Upcoming performances for 2013 include Television: Top Boy 2, Law & Order UK, and Theatre: Three Birds at the Royal exchange Theatre (Manchester) and Bush Theatre from Feb-Apr 2013, HOMe at the National Theatre Summer 2013. With sounds influenced by her birth place; east London, artists Chase and Status, Adele and Grace Jones, Michaela's music is progressive, bold and uncompromisingly truthful.
