Born in New York City, Mrs. Colonomos is a poet and dance journalist as well as a playwright. Her poems have appeared in numerous publications including "13th Moon," "Inkling," "Phoebus" and "Iris." In 1974, she won a journalism award for a feature on Martha Graham and she also writes for "Dance Magazine" and "Ballet News" as well as doing dance pieces for other magazines. She was Playwright-in-residence at The Eccentric Circles Theatre, she has worked as a playwright on the Off Off Broadway scene for many years
