C.D. Colquhoun is a freelance writer with credits in film, radio, television and stage. He was regarded as one of Australia's emerging writers until illness cut short his career in the mid-'70s. He has written for the ABC and the Tasmanian Film Corporation and was engaged to write the screenplay for the Australian musical Leo, as well as a number of short films and stage productions.

Synopsis:
Cas is a 17 year old dyslexic girl who busks in the Burke Street mall and lives with her pensioner mum in the western suburbs. After winning a talent quest, she teams up with Danny, a keyboard player/songwriter who comes from the Rocks in Sydney, piked out of the Melbourne Conservatorium and now works in a bar. With him, Cas takes on the music industry and its weird characters to make her dream of success come true, only to discover that there is a bigger dream to be realised. Cast number is variable -13 plus chorus.
