Victor Contoski received his Ph.D. in American Literature. He is professor of English at the University of Kansas. He has published short fiction and several collections of his own poetry, as well as translations of such contemporary Polish poets as Rosewicz, Grochowiak, Harasymowicz, and Sliwonik. His most recent volume of poems is Homecoming (New Rivers, 2000).
