Tyler Coppin's solo play LyreBird (Tales of Helpmann) was a sell-out hit at the 1998 Adelaide Festival of Arts and the winner of a Fringe First Award at the 1999 Edinburgh Festival. His other plays include Unamerica (shortlisted for the Rodney Seaborn Award), The Minutiae of Inertia, No One Here Gets Out Awake, and Clover. Coppin co-wrote Buzz (Company B Belvoir), Flabbadadabbadadaddy-o! (Inaugural 1987 Melbourne International Comedy Festival), and was a contributing writer of the animated feature film Happy Feet. He has written comedy for radio, and also for the Helpmann Award winning musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Melbourne Theatre Company). A NIDA graduate, Tyler has performed as an actor for most of the major companies in Australia, as well as on television, film, and on radio.

Minutiae of Inertia, The

Synopsis:
The mother has left she can no longer stand her son Jimmy screaming all night. Jimmy is in his bedroom chanting George Bush's name, crashing plane into the Twin Towers and throwing small model people of the tops of tall buildings. His Father is downstairs working his way through a case of Pinot Noir
