Berry Man

Synopsis:
The Berry Man is about growing things; potatoes, berries, babies. There are four characters; two men, a woman and a man who is still really a boy. It's about growing up - gathering all the elements of the past and letting them go, like scattering seed. It's about carrying secrets to the grave. It's about talk of the past and whether silence is sometimes a better way.

Boy Overboard

Boy Overboard
a story of adventure, ball control and hope. Jamal and Bibi have a dream. To lead Australia to soccer glory in the next World Cup. But first they must face landmines, pirates, storms and assassins. Can Jamal and his family survive their incredible journey and get to Australia? adapted for the stage by Patricia Cornelius from Morris Gleitzman's best-selling novel, Boy Overboard depicts a deeply human side of the 'asylum seekers' issue by following the journey of Jamal and Bibi from Afghanistan to Australia. Based on real life events, this is a moving play about young people overcoming the confusion of war, politics and the search for a safe haven.

Gary stares into the eyes of a chook. after laying twenty thousand eggs and spending an entire life inside a tiny cage, she's facing the chop. Gary has had a confined life too - most of it spent looking for girls, stealing cars and wagging school. Now it's become a succession of dull, dirty and dangerous jobs. But Gary yearns for something that can make sense of life for him - give it meaning. He hears the call. One that roars inside him. a call of the wild, a call to arms, a call to prayer, a call of adventure. . .

Fever

Synopsis:
Fever is made up of four plays The Chair, Blunt, Savant and Psalms, and a composition, The River. The Chair: In a desolated house, a lonely woman is confronted by an intruder. She ties him to a chair, but gives him the chance to win his freedom by moving her with his story. Savant: The members of a deeply depressed and morbid little community gather nightly to eat fish and chips and whinge about how good things used to be. They come to believe their malaise can be traced to an evil baby born to a frightened pair of teenagers. Psalms: Two young men, childhood friends, quickly become enemies when their country is plunged into civil war. In a landscape of unrelenting horror, one finds himself haunted by the ghost of the other, who is asking back for the heart, tongue and genitals that were taken from him. Blunt: A group of women live on a desolate and stinking landscape where nothing good grows anymore. They fetch a baby out of the river, save it, give it every chance. And what does it do? The ungrateful little shit goes and dies on them.

Lilly And May

Synopsis:
Lilly and May is a hard hitting comedy that exposes the myth of a romantic life on the open road. the Bag lady has been potrayed in a popular mythology as a nuggety, rebellious, independent - and sometimes even rich - woman - whose special brand of madness has led her to prefer a free life on the streets, to Welfare or the restrictions of responsible social life. For Lilly and May the reality is far from this commonly held view of eccentricity.

Love

Love
Tanya, Annie and Lorenzo are on the bottom of the heap. They're young but already the youth has been wrung out of them. They've been abused, they're abusive, and they're difficult to like let alone to love. But it is love in all its distorted and mutated forms that holds them together. Annie and Tanya make a pact; their love will protect them from an unloving world and it will endure. Even the dreadful and charming Lorenzo will not threaten it. Only doubt in each other's love can put a wedge between them.

What of the women and girls who defy gender demarcations, who transgress the boundaries and restraints of social order and expectation? When a girl spits, or swears, or screams, or shouts, or pulls down her pants to moon someone from a car, or she laughs too loudly, or she's too shrill, or she pulls up her t-shirt and flashes her tits, or she fights, really fights, head butts and with her fists, or she fucks too much or cuts her hair too short, and wears too much lipstick or none at all, or tells everyone she's got a dick and she's not a girl at all, all we want to do with this girl is lock her up and throw away the key. Out of control girls - angry, nasty girls - are a sight to behold. They're terrifying, electrifying, they're everything girls shouldn't be, and we hate them. This is a work about these girls. Their names are Billy, Bobby and Sam.

Slut

Synopsis:
Only girls get called sluts. No, sometimes boys get called sluts but it's like the biggest compliment. And sometimes girls try to own it. A girl might say, Yeah, I'm a slut, and I love it.' But in the end she'll be worn down by it. It's a no-win situation to be a slut no matter how much a girl thinks her life's her own and she can do whatever she wants. A slut's a slut. One young woman described it as being like a bag to piss in. Lolita is the queen of sluts. And she puts in an almighty fight to maintain her reign. Eventually she is hauled mercilessly from her throne. Slut is a play with a central character, Lolita, and a chorus of young women who watch her rise and final devastating fall. It is adaptable to virtually any sized cast.

Who's Afraid Of the Working Class

Who's Afraid Of the Working Class
Melbourne at the end of the twentieth century - modern economic miracle or a society imploding with savage politics and despair? the story is of fringe-dwellers, living in an age of social, economic and moral deprivation. Mostly out of work, and politically uninterested, they work at survival. a gritty portrayal of real life in an urban wasteland.
