Cynthia Cozette, born Cynthia Cozette Lee in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to a large family the youngest of 8 children has received international recognition as a classical musician and contemporary composer. She studied composition under avant-garde composers, George Crumb and George Rochberg. Her works were performed at the Women of Color Festival in New York City, the College Music Society Conference in Vancouver, British Columbia and the Mu Phi Epsilon International Convention in Cincinnati. Cynthia went on to write mostly plays for the musical and operatic stage which she collaborated with her sister Hazel Lee, inspired by songwriters Rado & Ragni. also, inspired by Weber and Rice and singers Carl anderson and Yvonne Elliman who the 2 sisters met at the "Jesus Christ Superstar"cast party in Pittsburgh, Cynthia and her sister wrote 2 musicals as youths, "Slavery" and "Secretaries". "Songs I Wrote for Broadway" is a celebration of these songs and the one women show premiered at the Women of Color Festival in New York March 10 2001 at the Henry Street Theatre and april , 2001 at the Judson Memorial Church. Cynthia hopes to produce her next musical "The autograph Seekers" based on the true life story of Cynthia and her 2 older sisters who met over 160 rock and r& b legends of the 1960s including The Rollingstones and James Brown.

Songs I Wrote for Broadway is a one woman show, which highlights the songs from the musicals "Slavery" and "Secretaries" which Cynthia Cozette Lee wrote with a collaboration with her sister Hazel, after being inspired by Rado & Ragni and Weber and Rice, songwriting teams.
