In the english Civil War the Royalists had mounted a cannon on the top of a church tower. the Roundheads attacked and blew up the tower destroying the canon. Humpty Dumpty had a great fall - all the king's men couldn't put Humpty together again

Bernard thought he could easily cope with his three air hostess fiancees. It was all a question of timetables and a reliable, down-to-earth maid who never forgot to change the photographs in the bedroom. Only when the 'super' Boeing takes over is he landed with a triple problem. His old school friend, Robert, arrives unexpectedly from Paris and joins the set in a hilarious whirl of confusion and matchmaking.

Mask Of Orpheus, The

Synopsis:
Rosalind returns to Braxton Manor where she had been a servant who had been abused by her master - Lord Braxton. Two other people also arrive - a tramp Tovey and Boconnian a deserter wanted for murder. they conspire to murder Braxton and steal his wealth. A group of itinerant actors arrive and it is agreed that they can stay if they put on an entertainment. the actors put on a play called "the Mines Of Sulphur" about a young woman who marries an old count and then falls in love with his valet. the wife and valet murder the count. Boconnian halts the play before the murder takes place - he can see parallels with what has happened at the manor. the actors discover the body of Braxton and are locked in a room. Rosalind, Tovey and Boconnian plan to set fire to the manor house and make their escape. One of the actresses kisses Boconnian then tells him she has the plague. the actors all disappear. the trio open the front door and see the red cross warning of plague that they had not seen when they entered
