Synopsis:
In a luxurious Thames-side apartment an extraordinary meeting is about to take place. . . He was known as 'Cap'n Bob' and the 'bouncing Czech'. She was known as 'the angel of Mercy' and 'saint of the Gutter'. theirs would not appear to be a likely union.., but in April 1988, three years before his body was found floating in the Atlantic, Robert Maxwell sealed a deal with Mother Teresa of Calcutta. the Bargain is based on the astonishing 36 hour duel that took place in London in 1988 when two world-famous, heavyweight figures locked horns. the outsized Robert Maxwell was a newspaper tycoon, football fan and big spender. Diminutive Mother Teresa was a living saint, comforter of the poor, missionary and nun. Remarkably, they found they had much in common
