Blackadder Rides Again..!
Synopsis:
Staging one episode from each of the four series of the BBC smash-hit comedy that ran from 1983 to 1989, the production will take audiences on a crazy journey from Medieval Witch Trials, through the court of Elizabeth I, to the lunacy of the Georgian era and end up in the First World War. "We have chosen four of the best remembered episodes - including what many people regard as the 'ultimate classic' - when Baldrick burns Dr Johnson's original dictionary leaving Blackadder to attempt to re-write it overnight!"
Notes:
Written by Ben Elton, Rowan Atkinson and Richard Curtis. The production will also be helping to raise money for Comic Relief, so an evening of nostalgic merriment will also raise funds for a very good cause!

Girlfriends
Synopsis:
Here Howard explains what motivated him to write Girlfriends& Since my first musical The Hired Man was dominated by men, I felt I needed to redress the balance by finding a subject in this second piece that would be mainly about women, so when I read Mary Lee Settles brilliant autobiographical account of her wartime experiences in the WAAF, All the Brave Promises, I suspected I might have found my subject. All the Brave Promises itself would not easily have adapted to a dramatic form, so I began to research the subject in a general way, reading WAAF diaries, plundering the RAF archives for every scrap they had on the WAAF, talking to ex-WAAF and reading the scanty published material that exists on the subject. Eventually, in collaboration with John Retallack, a story and form began to emerge for Girlfriends&..
