Christmas Carol, A
Synopsis:
A fresh take on Dicken's Christmas classic, created for an ensemble of eight actors. It's Christmas Eve at nephew Fred's house, seven years after the original events of A Christmas Carol takes place. "It's been seven years since my Uncle Ebeneezer first joined us for Christmas&But, dear Uncle, what's never been revealed is how you came to join us that fateful Christmas Day." And so begins Scrooge's ghostly tale, brimming with Christmas spirit and confirming that an extraordinary intervention can lead to lasting, positive change. "Whenever I hear a classic has been adapted, I cringe. I worry that the guts have been ripped out, or important bones have been removed. I wait to see how it looks, like a beloved celebrity taking off plastic surgery bandages. The Heather Davies adaptation of A Christmas Carol is an exact fit." Frank Preebles, Frank PEEBLES / Prince George Citizen. "It is charming, energetic, humorous at times; and made my otherwise cold and deadened soul feel the full range of emotion over the course of two hours." http://www.cfur.ca/bah-humbug-a-review-of-theatre-northwests-new-show/
