everything That Rises Must Dance
Synopsis:
a girl learns that the ordering of events can have desperate consequences. Her search for harmony becomes a constant conflict between the agreement and disruption of her memories. a story about how we force order on things because we have no way to experience randomness. 'everything that rises must dance' purges context. The piece shows the triviality of her actions when they are removed from their context and how an emotional state is cultivated not by a single experience but by a progression of events, a complication of events. We need this progression to give meaning to the isolated actions in our lives. This is a story about how we systemise our past in an attempt to resolve the complications of our experiences. Director and performer, Sasha Milavic Davies and cellist Lucy Railton have developed a new type of musical theatre; one in which contemporary music is a medium for performance and story-telling. 'everything that rises must dance' is a unique dynamic between composed musical notation, physical movement and narrative.

Inquiline, The
Synopsis:
The Inquiline has no name. He has no body. He is the universal spirit of instinct; that gut-feeling of bravery and foolishness. He is immoral, grotesque, vile and free. And he wants you all to know: he loves you very much. Funny and alarming all at once, this extraordinary physical solo show is about the life of a human parasite who, rather than being born, became someone else. A thought-provoking story about the cruelty of survival.
